On November 15, Clarivate Analytics released its 2022 list of Highly Cited Researchers. A total of 6,938 researchers from 69 countries and regions across 22 research fields in the sciences and social sciences were named, based on the number of highly cited papers produced over an 11-year period from January 2011 to December 2021. SOE had 8 faculty members named in the 2022 list: Prof. Hao Jiming, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, was named in the field of Environment and Ecology, and that of Geosciences; Prof. He Kebin, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, named in Geosciences; Prof. Zhou Jizhong, Prof. Wang Shuxiao and Prof. Hou Deyi named in Environment and Ecology; and Prof. Yang Yunfeng and Assistant Prof. Zhao Bin named in cross-field. In addition, David O’ Connor, who once carried out post doctoral research at SOE, was named in cross-field in the 2022 list.
