SOE, Tsinghua October 22, 2015 (Hu Yuying, He Xiaoyi) On October 22, The 9th National PhD Candidates Academic Conference on New theories and New Technologies in Environmental Science and Engineering was opened at the School of Environment, Tsinghua University. 105 participants from 38 universities participated in the meeting.
The conference was co-hosted by Tsinghua University, National Key Laboratory for Environment Stimulation and Pollution Control and co-hosted by Xi'an University of Architecture & Technology. The theme of this conference was new theories and technologies of environmental science and engineering, and to build a high standard academic platform. PhD students acts as protagonist in the meeting, not only undertaking most of the organization, but also joined the high level scholar discussion. The meeting set up the main sections of the keynote report, poster communication, parallel session discussion and many other aspects, to provide a platform for doctoral students to participate in academic communication activities and created opportunities to expand the academic vision, stimulate innovation, inspire scientific thinking and enhance academic friendship.
