SOE Aug 14th, 2015 On August 14th, 2015 International Summer School of SOE (School of Environment) organized its 29 Chinese students and 26 international students visited Sound Group and Gaobeidian Wastewater Treatment Plant in Beijing. The students arrived at Sound Group located at Beijing State Environmental Protection Industry Park in the southeast of Beijing at 9:00. As one of the leading environmental groups in China, Sound Group focuses on investment, research, consulting, construction, operation and instrument manufacturing. Led by Mr. Wen Yibo, an alumnus of SOE, Sound Group has established a whole industrial chain. Sound holds the value that there is no limit for environmental protection and the core value that insisting innovation, pursuing perfection and taking responsibilities. As for job opportunities at Sound, the manager Feng Ji warmly welcomed the outstanding students to join Sound Group.

About 2 pm, the students arrived at Beijing Gaobeidian Wastewater Treatment Plant. Led by the staff in the plant, they visited the exhibition and learned the severe shortage of water resources and the technology and process of wastewater treatment. Each process was introduced clearly in the clip played after that, also the significance to society, effect of environment protection and the history of the wastewater treatment plant. Students visited the aeration tank, secondary sedimentation tank, sludge thickening tank and the screening on site. The staff introduced the structure and effect of the infrastructures above and answered the questions threw by the students.
