To guarantee the safety of students and faculty, Tsinghua has implemented strict and comprehensive epidemic prevention measures. More than 300 international students have received vaccines against COVID-19.
With wide-spreading vaccination against COVID-19, we can enjoy this spring more safely. Katherin Thouvenin, a French student who has received her first injection of COVID-19 vaccine, said, “I would still strongly encourage anyone to be vaccinated in order to end this pandemic altogether and for the sake of protecting families and friends.”
Lulu, an international student from Hungary who volunteered as an order guide at the nucleic acid testing service site, said: “Despite such a large number of people, we were able to organize with great efficiency.”
“In terms of epidemic prevention and control, China has done quite well. So, we are really confident in China’s vaccines.” said Pouya, an Iran student studying in the Academy of Arts & Design.
“I believe that we should stay positive and overcome any difficulties,” said Patrice from Cameroon. “After the outbreak of the pandemic, I decided to stay in Tsinghua and fight along with my friends despite concerns about my safety from my family. I also volunteered as the dining guide for the canteen, reminding everyone to wear a mask properly and keep social distance when eating.”
We firmly believe that under the collective efforts of people around the world, the epidemic will eventually end in the near future.
