The winter show of the Tsinghua Student Art Troupe for the year 2020 was recently held in New Tsinghua Xuetang, Meng Minwei Concert Hall, Li Wenzheng Library, and other venues throughout the campus of Tsinghua University (THU).
This year’s event, with nine performances and two exhibitions themed on music, drama, quyi (a Chinese folk art form), painting, calligraphy and photography, attracted more than 6,000 attendees.
The show is the first large-scale event staged by the Tsinghua Student Art Troupe after students resumed classes in this autumn semester. This year’s event, while always abiding by the regulations on epidemic prevention and control, brought an art feast and a great morale booster to the teachers and students, warming up the winter.
It also served as a preparation for the 110th anniversary of the founding of THU. The student art troupe seized the opportunity of the show to create and rehearse programs to be staged during the school anniversary celebrations.
