Tsinghua University female international experts participate in the "Commemoration of March 8th International Women's Day" at the Great Hall of the People

On the afternoon of March 7th, four female international experts from Tsinghua University were invited to the Great Hall of the People, to attend the “Commemoration of March 8th International Women's Day”.

Four female experts from Tsinghua, coming from three countries, joined the event: Dr. Heloisa Andréa Acciari from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Dr. Chitra Shukla from the Department of Physics, Prof. Joan Kaufman from Schwarzman College, Dr. Hu Xiaobo Sharon from the Institute of Microelectronics.

Currently, there are altogether nearly 60 long-term female international faculty and staff members in Tsinghua, which accounts for 21% of all long-term international faculty and staff members. Female faculty and staff members come from 18 countries, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, South Korea, India and Iran. The female international faculty and staff members make a positive contribution to Tsinghua’s international development, exchanges and cooperation.
