The awards at the China Cashmere Knitwear Design Competition were announced on May 21. Tsinghua student Ma Haichao won the gold medal.
The competition, with the theme "technology and fashion", attracted more than 300 design works from many regions of the People's Republic of China, including the cities of Beijing and Tianjin and the provinces of Shanxi, Hubei, and Jiangsu. Among the participants were designers from domestic and international textile and clothing companies as well as design studios, and university students and faculty members.
