Ms. Dorothee Dzwonnek, Secretary General of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), visited Tsinghua on November 23. In a discussion with her, Tsinghua Vice President Kang Kejun presented an outline of Tsinghua's recent disciplinary development, research and international cooperative undertakings. The two expressed the hope that more kinds of collaboration could be developed between the DFG and Tsinghua during the coming years.
Ms. Dzwonnek also had a discussion with some members of the Tsinghua faculty and visited Professor Zhang Xi's laboratory in the Department of Chemistry.
