Tsinghua Academy of Arts and Design undergraduate student Liu Yifei won third prize on September 14 in the 2008 China International Jewelry Design Contest. The idea for Liu’s design--“diving”—was inspired by Olympic divers diving into the water. Liu Yifei captures this moment of athletic beauty in sculpted jewelry designs which incorporate gold and diamond motifs.
Candidates from sixteen countries and districts participated in the competition.
