Tsinghua President Gu Binglin and Vice President Kang Kejun on October 11 visited MIT and held discussions with MIT President Susan Hockfield on further expanding cooperation between the two universities. Specifically they discussed further collaboration in advanced scientific research, faculty exchange, and student exchange. They also discussed the possibility of co-organizing some activities to celebrate Tsinghua’s 100th anniversary and MIT’s 150th anniversary in 2011. President Gu also had discussions with selected experts from several MIT Schools during his visit.
