Dr. Roderick D. Fraster, President of University of Alberta in Canada , visited Tsinghua University on October 19. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin met and talked with Dr. Fraster.
President Gu and Dr. Fraser exchanged ideas on students, research, fund raising, etc. Dr. Fraser said that he hoped more collaboration could be built with Tsinghua University in the field of nano science and technology.
After the talk, President Gu and Dr. Fraser renewed the Memorandum of Understanding, which was first signed in 1995. The two universities will have cooperation in the areas such as exchange of faculty and students, research, and so on.
Founded in 1908, University of Alberta is one of the oldest universities in Canada .
