Li received the honor at the opening ceremony of the SIOP Annual Conference held in Denver, Colorado.

SIOP is the most authoritative international academic organization in the field of industrial and organizational psychology. It is affiliated with Division 14 of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is also an affiliated organization of the Association for Psychological Science (APS). The SIOP Fellowship is one of the highest honors bestowed upon members of the society, recognizing outstanding members who have proposed solutions to workplace issues through research, changed the direction of the field through practice, and guided the development of the next generation of industrial and organizational psychologists through teaching.
Obtaining the SIOP fellow status requires rigorous review. Candidates must be nominated by a member and supported by at least three current SIOP fellows. Eligible members must have remained active in the society for at least ten years and have made meaningful, sustained, and extraordinary contributions to the field.
Li currently serves as the Flextronics chair professor and department head of leadership and organization management at Tsinghua SEM. His research primarily focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and big data in organizational management, organizational network analysis, leadership, and innovation management. He has published over 40 academic papers in top international management journals and has received the SIOP Early Career Award for Scientific Contributions (2020). He has been consecutively selected as an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher in China (2021-2023) and received the Academy of Management Review Decade Award (2023).
Li's election as a SIOP fellow is both a recognition of his personal academic achievements and a reflection of the influence of Chinese scholars on the international academic stage.
