The 4th inaugural meeting of the National Climate Change Expert Committee was held at the China Meteorological Administration on September 23, 2021.
Those present at the meeting included Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Envoy for Climate Change, and also leaders of China Meteorological Administration, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other departments, as well as new members of expert committee.
At the meeting, Zhuang Guotai, administrator of CMA, announced the list of members of the committee and issued letters of appointment.
The 4th committee is composed of 38 members，including four Tsinghua professors He Jiankun, Jiang Yi, Li Zheng and Zhang Xiliang.
He Jiankun, director of the Academic Committee of Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of Tsinghua University (ICCSD), was appointed as director of National Expert Committee on Climate Change.
Jiang Yi, academician ofChinese Academy of Engineering and professor of the Tsinghua University school of Architecture, Li Zheng, vice president of the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (ICCSD), and Zhang Xiliang, executive director of the Institute of Energy, Environment and the Economy at Tsinghua University, were appointed as members of the committee from August 2021 to August 2025.
