Yu Zhengsheng meets members of Tsinghua SEM Advisory Board
Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with members of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management in Beijing on October 23, asking them to offer more advice on China's economic growth.
China is in a key stage of economic transformation, and the 13th Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development would balance growth with restructuring and focus on the environment, Yu said. He noted that China will continue to expand market access for foreign investment.
Advisors, including David Rubenstein, chairman of the Advisory Board and Co-Founder and Co-CEO of the Carlyle Group, said they would contribute to China's educational and economic development.
Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong, Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai, and Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting.
