University Council Chairperson CHEN Xu visits universities and institutions in Belgium and the Netherlands

From June 10th to 14th, Prof. CHEN Xu, Chairperson of Tsinghua University Council, led a delegation to visit partner universities and institutions in Belgium and the Netherlands, including Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (IMEC), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), Technology University of Delft (TU Delft), University of Amsterdam and University of Groningen. During the visit, Prof. Chen had in-depth and fruitful discussions with Rectors, Presidents or CEO of these universities and institutions. Several university-level agreements on cooperation and student exchanges were signed or renewed.

In spite of the busy schedule, Professor CHEN Xu also spared some time to meet with Tsinghua’s alumni who studied and worked in both countries, and listened to their suggestions on how to better serve and foster Tsinghua’s students. 

Professors from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Office of Policy Study, Institute of Microelectronics and Department of Philosophy also joined the visit.
