Tsinghua University Library Celebrates Centennial Anniversary
A ceremony was held on November 2nd in honor of the 100th anniversary of Tsinghua University Library. Lu Wei, Vice Mayor of Beijing, Tsinghua University President Chen Jining, Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe, and Tsinghua Vice President Cheng Jianping attended the ceremony held in the Mong Man-wai concert hall.

Nobel Prize Winner C.N. Yang, Director Li Jing of the Ministry of Education’s Department of Teaching Conditions for Higher Education, Chang Pijun, Vice Director of the National Library of China, Zhang Xiaolin, Director of the National Science Library, Anne Kenney, Director of Cornell University Library, Zhu Qiang, Director of Peking University Library, Huang Zhaorong, Director of Pao Yue-kong Library at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Zhuang Huiling, Director of Tsing Hua University (Hsinchu) were also present at the ceremony and extended their congratulations to Tsinghua University Library.

The Tsinghua University library system is composed of the main University Library and six other special focus libraries, including the Economics and Management, Architecture, Law, Humanities and Social Sciences, Arts and Design, and Medical Sciences libraries.
